This article presents a chronological journey on the impact of the Colombian rap group La Etn-nia. The author articulates the country's recent historical events with the creative response of each of La Etnnia's musical productions. Likewise, the paper highlights the relevance of the band's territorial roots, which turns the city of Bogotá into a geographical point of collective memory for Latin American hip hop. The article concludes by highlighting the participation of rap groups in the social mobilizations that took place in Colombia in the months of April and May 2021 and their connection with the legacy of La Etnnia.
