Abstract

PATINO, Diana Milena. Re-Visiting my Steps towards a Mestiza Philosophy. Nómadas [online]. 2021, n.54, pp.277-286.  Epub Jan 17, 2022. ISSN 0121-7550.  https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n54a16.

The article invites us to take a tour around the key points that led its author to understand that her role as a philosopher could not be other than that of being a mestiza. To this end, it uses auto-ethnography and memory as an epistemic motif for the methodological strategy, as well as some philosophical argumentative forms. At the end of the text, the author states that, after a long and painful process, she has come to understand herself as a mestiza philosopher who feels that she can embrace the philosophy fleshed in her skin, in the streets, in hunger, in thirst, instead of that which rests on the books that decorate libraries.

Keywords : Philosophy; Woman; Mestiza; Feminism; Body; Coloniality.
