Hacia la Promoción de la Salud

Objective: To study in depth the theoretical and conceptual review of nursery care under the light of a phenomenological analysis. Methodology: Review of articles published in different specialized data bases (Lilacs, Porquest, Hinary, Sciencedirect, e-libro, Medline) using keywords: care, nursing, knowledge, epistemology, self-care, humanization; and analyzing products by experts in the topic in order to study in depth the way they approach them. Results: Care has its origin in the individual himself not only as an instinct but also as recognition of his own existence, as self knowledge; the more the individual knows himself, the greater his care attitude is. Care, as the object of study in nursing tries to find improvement in each person's life quality beyond the professional practice. Conclusions: When going deeper into the analysis of care in nursing, the phenomenological approach allows finding again the body category which must become a care setting for the nursing professional since, through it, many realities of those needing to be taken care of end up being uncovered.
