Abstract

Objective: To contribute to the understanding of organizational dynamics for the political incidence of people with disabilities from the rights perspective, from the collective disabilities case at Universidad del Valle. Materials and Methods: a qualitative research approach was conducted, based on a case study in the city of Cali between June 2010 and March 2011. Secondary sources, participant observation, interviews and a participatory workshop were used. Results: Organizational dynamics for political incidence of people with disabilities, from the perspective of rights, allows understanding the internal skills recognized in the organization, the ability to plan, the ability to convene, and the political discourse, the rate of affiliation, and alliances and networks. Besides the motivations that move the development of political incidence are recognized, which allow prefiguring the role the organization assumes for its participants. Conclusions: The Collective of disabled allows recognizing as asubject of study an important role the organization has in the development of political incidence actions from the motivations for participation and recognition of rights in political pressure scenarios and networks with other actors.
