Abstract

In order to offer a panoramic vision of the Independence historiography, this article comments the most important bibliography on the topic. To achieve this, the article centre its attention on the studies that offer a general perspective of the historical phenomenon, without forgetting the deep and critical analysis of the hypotheses, the methods and the approaches that characterize them. In its first part, it studies the works that criticize the traditional historiography paradigm -that one interested merely on creating heroes and memorable facts-. In the second title, it examines the studies that emphasized the paper that played the first hispanic constitutionalism as the true key Independence mover.
