The present work intends to perform a post-marxist reading of Latin American theory, criticism, historiography and literature histories, with special emphasis on José Carlos Mariátegui, in order to verify the existence of a tradition with different aspects that, woven of continuities, discontinuities and ruptures, have been committed with the construction of a Latin American thought concerning to the aesthetic-literary phenomenon and which aim have been taking part in the democratic and pluralist configuration of the political and cultural ambiences of this continent.
