Abstract This paper aims at examining the relation between pedagogy, literature, feminism and emotions. It is divided into three sections. In the first, I explore the strategies for a pedagogy of literature engaged with a feminist critique. Secondly, I explain the productivity of the notion of body as well as some premises underpinning the field of Emotion Studies. Finally, I focus on a discursive and emotional reading of "Lección de cocina" by Rosario Castellanos to illuminate previous theoretical points.
