Abstract
DELVASTO P, Carlos A. The Case of "Embargo" and the goods out of commerce en the legal education in Colombia. ¿A case of perceptual blindness?. Rev. Derecho [online]. 2013, n.40, pp.250-282. ISSN 0121-8697.
In Colombian legal education for decades there has been taught that "embargo" puts goods out of commerce, to the point, that this false association has created a blind spot in legal culture. What determines the existence of blind spots and facilitates the transmission of false associations? In my opinion, an answer to have in mind is the way in which law is been taught in Colombia. If the professor uses the lecture and if he has a conceptual bias the chances to detect this one are limited by a cognitive problem called Inattentional blindness.
Keywords : Goods out of commerce; legal education; case law; lectures; inattentional blindness; blind spots and false association.
