Abstract

HINESTROZA CUESTA, Lisneider. The concept of validity of law. An approach to the finnisian perspective. Rev. Derecho [online]. 2014, n.42, pp.186-204. ISSN 0121-8697.

The concept of validity of law has been analyzed by different theoretical doctrines. In this article, a reflection is made on the notion of validity of law from the viewpoint of the philosopher John Finnis. In this documentary research, it is concluded that the aforementioned author understands the con-cept of validity of law in a different way than the traditional natural law. In fact, John Finnis takes some elements of natural law, but he creates a concept integrated by several criteria.

Keywords : validity of law; traditional natural law.
