Abstract

VILLALBA CUELLAR, JUAN CARLOS  and  PEREZ FORERO, ANDREA CAROLINA. The right of withdrawal in Colombian law: current affairs and perspectives. Rev. Derecho [online]. 2023, n.60, pp.109-131.  Epub Feb 13, 2024. ISSN 0121-8697.  https://doi.org/10.14482/dere.60.611.082.

The consumer is protected by the provisions of the Consumer Statute and the regulatory norms that consider it as the vulnerable part in consumer relations. Within this scope, the acquisition of goods and services to satisfy the consumer's own needs includes a series of specific protection mechanisms such as the right of withdrawal applicable to certain forms of contracting in which the consumer is considered more vulnerable. This article will focus on the right of withdrawal, to analyze its concept, nature, modalities and some conceptual clarifications derived from its practice in Colombian law.

Keywords : Consumer; right of withdrawal; electronic commerce; protection.
