Abstract

Lower respiratory tract infections are the leading cause of death for children under five years old in developing countries. In the pediatric age there are a several etiologic agents that could compromise the lower respiratory tract. Know about these agents and their CLÍNICAl manifestations it is essential for medical staff can make a proper diagnosis and finally specific treatment. In this article, based on a systematic search for information on pneumonias, especially those caused by atypical pathogens and adding recommendations given by the authors in diagnosis algorithms, a series of steps are displayed as a tool of CLiNICAl approach and diagnosis of this entities.
