This article aims to problematize the place of praxis in the intervention of Social Work, in a context characterized by deep contradictions and asymmetries characteristic of the reproduction of the capitalist system and the neoliberal project. From a critical perspective and rescuing Gramscian thought, it reflects on the urgency of unveiling in our discipline a praxis that recognizes tensions, debates, struggles and resistances generated in this horizon of transformation. This exercise is the result of a process of documentary analysis that emerges from debates in academic texts and readings of concrete realities in my teaching-research practice in a public university. The reflections presented allow to question hegemonic places and reductionist views in the intervention, takes up the ethical-political sense, the situated construction of knowledge and the urgent need to generate processes of awareness, that favor forms of mobilization and anti-hegemonic social practices that cross our lives.
