Resumen
CARO, Pamela. Gender contracts for wine seasonal workers in Casablanca, Chile. Cuad. Desarro. Rural [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.72, pp.69-89. ISSN 0122-1450.
Casablanca rural society experienced a productive restructuring and changes in the land use since the nineties, produced by the viticulture neoliberal industrialization. This modified the structure of the labour market, the population and the life forms. The research objective and foundation of the article was to understand the components of the current viticulture labour model (contractual, wage and shift) flexibility and female salaries- and its relation to the changes and continuities in the gender patterns followed by couples of young seasonal workers. Through a qualitative methodology and having as a reference the sexual contract, stories told by workers with familiar responsibilities (underage children) were analyzed to unveil the influence of the new labour realities in terms of family and marital status.
