Abstract

This article has the overall aim to account for the different strategies employed by farmers in order to adjust their practices to the new guidelines of the socio-productive model that prints a growing concern with the same professionalism in the context of business agriculture with strong links between industry and services in a global market. To do this, focus on two different actors: on one hand, describe the social and productive trajectories of a set of family farmers who managed to convert their farms into family businesses, appealing to an ethnographic work in the east of the province of Córdoba during the months of November and December 2013. Moreover, reconstruct the strategies of a trade association of producers, historically associated with the defense and livestock interests' claim that initiates a process of incorporating services to institutional dynamics. In this case, we turn to the press and various materials produced by analyzed in the period ranging from the late 1980s to early 2000s entity.
