The context for the analysis of this article is the paradigmatic year if 1968 in Mexico. The information is taken from "El Sol de Sinaloa" -the main historical source for this paper-. The objective is to find out the role played by this newspaper as a media outlet and generator of opinion so some "experts" communicate their arguments against hundreds of students who were determined to contest the conservative presidential regime of Gustavo Diaz Ordaz or the involvement of the newspaper in the struggle between university students and the Mexican State from July to October of 1968.
