SANTOS CENOBIO, Rafael. Ideological Currents Within the Sinaloan Student Movement, Mexico (1965-1970). Anu.hist.reg.front. [online]. 2021, vol.26, n.2, pp.359-399. Epub 30-Maio-2021. ISSN 0122-2066. https://doi.org/10.18273/revanu.v26n2-2021012.
This article analyzes the different ideological trends within the Sinaloan student movement from 1965 to 1970. For this purpose, two generations were used methodologically, the first so-called adult generation which was left-wing and pro- gressive, and enjoyed literary circles and held positions within the state and university government. The second, young generation made up of university students were born in the stage of economic stability, who frequented the circles of intellectual discus- sion created by normal-school and university students. Both generations embraced the democratizing project of Carlos A. Madrazo, which prevailed at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS) from 1966 to 1968 when the left rose to the leadership of the Federation of University Students of Sinaloa (FEUS), which implemented an intense cultural pedagogy through cultural festivals.
