Every time that a financial crisis arises, there is an abundance of books, articles and lectures about this theme. However, the respective studies are scarce according to the thermodynamic principles, above all the second law. In general, the little publications are written by ecologists, bioethicists and economists with some knowledge of the aforementioned science, which is extremely indispensable so as to understand the underlying essence in these crises, all the more in the present day, when the mankind confronts a civilization crisis without precedent. Thus, this article presents the interpretation that thermodynamics allows about such civilization crisis and the actions that it suggests with a view to overcome it in harmony with the global bioethics, actions which are mounted in the paradigm of the conviviality societies, included its educational dimension as a reflex of Iván Illich's almost forgotten legacy, a very brilliant critic of the industrial society.
