GARCIA-DUSSAN, Éder. About the Creation of New Heroes in Times of Pandemic: An Interpretation of the New Social Reality. Enunciación [online]. 2022, vol.27, n.1, pp.132-144. ISSN 0122-6339. https://doi.org/10.14483/22486798.18803.
This speech, presented during the 2021 inaugural lesson of the Master’s Degree in Mother Tongue Pedagogy at Universidad Distrital, addressed the forms of media reconstruction regarding the local reality of the Paro Nacional [National Strike] of 2021, which took place between April and June in different cities of the country. To approach an answer in this regard, the theory and methodology projected by the critical version of van Dijk, Butler, Kress, van Leeuwen, and others’ discourse studies were used as well as the microsociology proposed by Erving Goffman and his technique of interactional detail. The results show that there was a decline in the symbols of authority personified in historical characters of power, thus allowing to conclude that the new faces of the great absolute father, as the historian Pierre Legendre said, were replaced by a multiple paternal symbol that took shape through a palimpsestic, ephemeral overlay writing.
