Resumen
SANCHEZ-ALARCON, María Inmaculada. The Color of Desire that Changes Everything: Cinematographic Codes and Cultural Matrixes in Pedro Almodóvar's Films. Palabra Clave [online]. 2008, vol.11, n.2, pp.327-342. ISSN 0122-8285.
Pedro Almodóvar's work has evolved towards a greater command of cinematographic narrative and a gradual refinement of aesthetics, while constantly portraying a series of topics, characters, narrative features and aesthetics. The article examines the pivotal elements that define this director's concept of cinema and carefully analyzes how Almodóvar presides over the different technical departments of his productions to achieve some very specific results. The cinematographic codes of Almodóvar's world are directly related to the cultural matrixes inherent in his films. As analyzed in the article, they combine references to modernity with a transgressive transformation of cultural representations from the Franco era
