GOMEZ-SANCHEZ, Ana Isabel; HELLIN-ORTUNO, Pedro Antonio y NICOLAS-ROMERA, César San. The Representation of Cloning in Cinematographic Fiction: A Methodological Approach for an Analysis of Scientific Discourse in the Movie Industry. Palabra Clave [online]. 2011, vol.14, n.2, pp.216-234. ISSN 0122-8285.
In this article an analytical methodology is being tested for a scientific discourse in the cinematographic fiction. In order to experiment with this new heuristic tool, it has been chosen seven movies which contain very different discourses on cloning, a scientific technique that has been subject of media and social controversy as a result of its connection with its human variant. Our goal is to determine the representation of cloning that is imposed in every speech, as well as to learn the strategies that legitimize the different points of view regarding this scientific subject which is established on each tape; images always linked to specific interests and in the audiovisual text usually positioned through the characters, gender and the staging, and outside, by other variables linked to the contexts of production and reception of the film.
