Abstract

The article analyzes the construction processes of comedy in the American sitcom Arrested Development. Considered by specialized critics as an example of innovation in language and semiotic density, the program is an example of the kind of textual construction that is inserted into the phenomenon of the American reversibility proposed by North American Jason Mittel. When analyzing poetic processes in the construction of anagrammatic humor and multi-isotope, we explain the demand that the text that generates for repeated reading processes that may deplete their meanings.
