This paper describes the Mexican media industry from the perspective of economics and media management. The study outlines some of the macro-and microeconomic factors that serve to understand the offers being made by communications entrepreneurs and the media consumption by the audiences. It is a study that applies the economic theory of the media to empirically describe the current state of the industry.
