This article presents the characteristics of the cotton economy of the departamento del Atlántico during the first half of the twentieth century. The relationship between the textile industries, trade associations and the cotton will be the primary object of our analysis. In this sense, the work seeks to reconstruct the social, cultural and political developments were around the cotton economy.
