Abstract

CARDONA ZULUAGA, Alba Patricia. Pineda Collection: Journals Collect, Store and Disseminate Their Past Glories. Hist. Caribe [online]. 2013, vol.8, n.22, pp.105-132. ISSN 0122-8803.

This paper analyzes a material dimension of Modern History, i. e. collections and their importance in conservation and divulgation of the pieces upon which the narration of the national past should rest. The "Colección Pineda" allows us to inquire into issues related to the definition of Homeland History and the relations built around it in the consecution and conservation of such pieces. Studies about collectors can open an interesting horizon of the conceptions of a society about the past and the means to preserve and divulge it.

Keywords : colección; acumulación; historia; divulgación; conservación; collection; accumulation; history; outreach; conservation.
