Abstract

The article aims at establishing a periodization that allows defining projects and state regulations related to the private education regulation in Cuba from the Colonial Period until its nationalization in 1961. The text runs through two levels of analysis in education: the official regulations (laws, decrees, regulations, curriculum, etc.) and the study of thought, it is means, the multiple theoretical approaches, discussions and controversies generated around regulatory projections. The headings are subdivided according to the four moments of prominence in educational legislation with defined guidelines concerning private education in Cuba.
