Resumen
FAIVRE, Catherine. Colombia: A Presidential Regime under the Temptation of Parliamentarism. Rev. Derecho Estado [online]. 2011, n.27, pp.23-46. ISSN 0122-9893.
Originally inspired by the United States Constitution with adaptations to take into account local considerations, the Colombian system of government is characterised by the wide-ranging powers held by the President of the Republic. The current Constitution, drawn up in 1991, reaffirms the central role of the head of State whilst defining his powers and extends the powers of the Congress. Colombia's Constitution draws elements from several different constitutional models to produce a unique political system that combines elements of a presidential regime and a parliamentary regime.
Palabras clave : Constitution; presidential regime; parliamentary regime.
