Abstract

The paper analyzes how the Environmental Courts exercise their power of empire to enforce their resolutions, shows how it has been exercised in Chile, and how it has been exercised in comparative law. It analyzes the 20,600 law in what is pertinent, and the regulations of the public force and forces of order of the State. It ends by proving the effective existence of this power of empire, and raises the need to adapt the regulations to the current reality of the Chilean environmental legal system.
