Abstract

This article reflects on the rules, instances and procedures in the Colombian foreign policy process. For which a descriptive study is carried out, both of the legal framework that supports the process of formulation of foreign policy in Colombia, and of the state institutions involved in said process. The articles of the political constitution of Colombia of 1991, judgments of the Constitutional Court and law decrees, oriented towards the country's foreign policy, are studied. It is concluded that, in the current Political Constitution, greater importance is attached to foreign policy, when defining guiding principles, the role of the three branches of public power and state institutions involved in the process.
