RENDON OSORIO, KAREN VIVIANA. The Nature in the Colombian Legal System: From Anthropocentrism to Ecocentrism?. Rev. Derecho Estado [online]. 2024, n.58, pp.337-359.  Epub 17-Fev-2024. ISSN 0122-9893.  https://doi.org/10.18601/01229893.n58.12.

This article reflects on the possible attribution of an intrinsic value to nature, in the Colombian legal system, based on the analysis of some sentences in which some of its elements have been recognized as subjects of law. The reflection allows from the anthropocentric and ecocentric perspectives that allow us to understand axiologically the value that is made of living beings, and therefore their ability to be subjects of law. The research carried out is qualitative, of a documentary nature, and uses the jurisprudential line as the main research strategy. The conclusions suggest that, although in the substantial area there are legal and dogmatic elements, and even the political will, to recognize rights to nature, the Colombian legal system does not seem to have enough procedural elements to make such recognitions tangible, due to its modernist foundations that limit the exercise of rights for those who are not classified as a person.
