Abstract
MORALES-BUENO, Patricia and GOMEZ-NOCETTI, Viviana. Adaptation of the Manassero and Vázquez Attribution Motivation Scale. educ.educ. [online]. 2009, vol.12, n.3, pp.33-52. ISSN 0123-1294.
This article presents the results of a validity study of the construct and viability of an Achievement Motivation Scale (AMS) for application in the context of university education where collaborative learning strategies are used. In the new scale (AMS-M), the original dimension of Professor Competence Motivation is replaced by the dimension of Interaction Motivation, which included aspects related to the student's perception of the influence of interaction with peers and the professor in a problem-based learning context (PBL). The scale was applied to a group of first-year engineering students in Peru who are enrolled in a course that uses the problem-based learning method. The results of the exploratory factor analysis made it possible to identify six dimensions in the new scale. Estimated reliability is good (a: 0.9026) and the resulting dimensional profile shows characteristics that can be used to guide future studies in this regard.
