This research aims to determine the attitudes towards science and research of university members in Bogotá, differentiated by demographic and role variables within the institution. The Attitudes towards Science Protocol and the Scale for Assessing Attitudes towards Research were administered to 524 participants, including students, lecturers, and managers of various universities. The results point to a favorable attitude towards science and research in all the groups of participants; however, the group with the least favorable attitude was the students. In the comparisons by sex, we found a more favorable attitude in men. When comparing by programs, there were better attitudes in engineering, social sciences, and health sciences students and unfavorable attitudes in communication and gastronomy students. Finally, a direct relationship was identified between age and attitudes towards science.
