Resumen

MORALES SANTILLAN, Santiago Rubén. Impact of COVID-19 on Latin American Teachers’ Lifestyles. Educ. Educ. [online]. 2022, vol.25, n.1, e2515.  Epub 31-Ago-2022. ISSN 0123-1294.  https://doi.org/10.5294/edu.2022.25.1.5.

Through an exhaustive analysis, this article systematically identifies and summarizes available scientific evidence related to the impact of COVID-19 on Latin American teachers’ lifestyles. At the end of 2019, the world was shocked by a new version of the already known coronavirus, a respiratory disease that catastrophically affects the lungs of those who contract it. Methodologically, we reviewed various journals with the highest indexing in reliable databases, such as Scielo, Scopus, and BVS, and searched for bibliographic references of secondary and primary research. For the analysis, there was no language or time-space restriction. All papers whose objectives coincided with the impact of COVID-19 on Latin American teachers’ lifestyles were included, and only those unrelated to the study variants were excluded. In brief, the teachers’ lifestyles were affected mainly by their emotional state, causing them stress and anxiety, in addition to some cases of obesity and a sedentary lifestyle due to a lack of physical activity during the lockdown.

Palabras clave : Teacher; communicable disease; lifestyle; pandemic; virus.
