ZULUAGA MARIN, Marisol; BOTERO, José Camilo; MARTINEZ ROMERO, Ana María  and  LOPERA ORTEGA, Yanelis. Neurodidactics and Critical Thinking: Perspectives for Today's Education. Educ. Educ. [online]. 2022, vol.25, n.2, e2522.  Epub Oct 27, 2022. ISSN 0123-1294.  https://doi.org/10.5294/edu.2022.25.2.2.

This article aims to spotlight the connections between neurodidactics and critical thinking as a proposal to enhance the learning process and the Colombian education model. First, the context of education in Colombia will be addressed; then, the importance of critical thinking in contemporary times and the advances in neuroeducation for its promotion will be explained. Finally, some suggestions will be made to improve the pillars of neurodidactics and critical thinking in primary and secondary education nationwide. The most relevant conclusion is how neurodidactics contributes directly to brain empowerment and the formation of complex processes aligned with the training of active subjects in a differential and contextualized education model.

Keywords : Colombian education; learning methods; neurodidactics; neuropsychology; critical thinking.
