JIMENEZ-FIGUEROA, Andrés; LEON GONZALEZ, Bárbara; RAMIREZ PARRAGUEZ, Constanza  e  VALENZUELA HERNANDEZ, Margarita. Significant Factors in the Work of Education Professionals: Quality of Life, Participation, and Organizational Climate**. Educ. Educ. [online]. 2024, vol.27, n.2, e2723.  Epub 29-Jul-2025. The COVID-19 pandemic transformed work dynamics worldwide, significantly impacting the education sector, which had to rapidly adapt to remote teaching. These changes highlighted the importance of analyzing working conditions and their impact on teachers' Quality of Work Life (QWL), given its effects on job satisfaction, mental health, and professional performance. In Chile, job insecurity and increased administrative demands have intensified stress in the education field. This study examines the relationship between QWL, Organizational Climate (OC), and Institutional Participation (IP) among 103 teachers from the O'Higgins and Maule regions, using a quantitative, descriptive-correlational, and cross-sectional approach. The results reveal significant correlations between OC and IP, demonstrating the interdependence of these variables. Teachers who experienced a positive organizational climate and greater institutional participation reported higher well-being and job satisfaction. However, structural dimensions such as job stability and professional development were the least valued, revealing persistent tensions between the material conditions of work and professional recognition. This study highlights the need for policies that foster a healthy work environment through participatory management and professional growth in collaborative settings, key elements for a sustainable educational system aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (Quality Education) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
