Abstract

CABRERA-BOTERO, Jorge A  and  PAEZ-RUEDA, Carlos I. Switched Antenna Pattern with Reduced Area for the Industrial, Scientific and Medical 2.45 GHz Band. Ing. Univ. [online]. 2014, vol.18, n.1, pp.121-140. ISSN 0123-2126.

In this paper the design and experimental verification of a switched beam antenna with low SLL, formed by an aperture-coupled linear array antenna 1X6 elements and fed by a 4X6 reduced Butler matrix for the SIM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band in 2.45 GHz is presented. The antenna was designed and manufactured domestically with a compact multilayer microstrip technology, total thickness of 62 mil, and the ability to switch 4 beams.

Keywords : Smart antennas; switched beam antenna; Butler matrix; intelligent antennas; switched-beam antenna.
