Abstract

Information concerning 60 mammal species from the Popayan municipality is presented. From these, 46 species have voucher specimens housed in reference national collections. Notes on the actual presence, local names, principal sources of danger and their uses in different parts of the municipality are included. Additionally, the text shows a list of localities and the importance of developing new studies on mammals in this region of Colombia is highlighted.
