Aspects about the habitat preferences, spatial and temporal distribution, individual behaviors and material of six rare Colombian Lycaenids: Balintus tityrus, Porthecla barba, Thaeides theia, Theritas crines, Theclopsis aurina and Thestius lycabas are given. The description of a new species Brevianta magnifica recorded in the Western Colombian Mountain Range is included.
