Abstract

The unknown Stagmomantis parvidentata colombiana Ariza & Salazar, 2005 female is described from a specimen collected in Ibagué. The female laid an ootheca from which eleven individuals were taken to be reared and from these only six mantidae could finish the cycle. Data of duration in days for each instar, embryonic period, ninfal period, adult life period and longevity were recorded. Females demonstrated to have longer cycles than males.
