Abstract

With the search of new feeding strategies, the foliage of trees appears as a good alternative; given their high levels of protein and acceptable nutritional value, Gliricidia sepium is a major source of supplementation which is widely distributed in the tropics, with a high productive potential which makes it an excellent forage plant obtaining favorable results in consumption, daily weight gain, increased carrying capacity, milk production per unit area, and contributing to the incorporation of good agricultural practices.
