Abstract

This contribution aims to show the existence and activities of the Biological Research Center of the Amazon-CIVA and IKOZOA Foundation for keeping some existing Amazonian ecosystems in Colombia. In addition, some comments about butterflies in the region that have similar wing designs which actually make a highly sophisticated mimicry complex that includes poisonous and non-poisonous species is provided.
