Abstract

This study will consider the genus Agrias Doubleday, 1844 (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae, Charaxinae) presenting some members considered in several of the known species groups, based on dry material examined from Central and South America from colombian collections and the other countries. Data on biology and a historical reference of some of the leading collectors of these butterflies are included in the Neotropics that helped in it preliminar knowledge.
