This article intends to register for the first time for the department of Caldas the presence of parasitoid Tamarixia radiata (Waterston) (Hymenoptera. Eulophidae) which is a natural enemy and controllerof the pest insect of citrus Diaphorina citri . The parasitoid was observed and collected on nymphs of Diaphorina in constant action that could reduce populations of these pests that affect commercial citrus crops. Such registration in Caldas is highly relevant for the existing citrus industry in the coffee area of the country.
