Abstract
FORERO-BERNAL, Claudia Alexandra; ZABALA-PARRA, Paola Andrea and BOADA-RODRIGUEZ, Alberto. Space-time analysis of the anthropic incidence in the Cauca river basin, Department of Valle, Colombia. Perspectiva Geográfica [online]. 2017, vol.22, n.1, pp.127-146. ISSN 0123-3769. https://doi.org/10.19053/01233769.5861.
This current research, through remote sensing (using Landsat and Radarsat 2), looks for obtaining an anthropic incidence rate from the calculation of three indicators: vegetation, demographic and modification of the channel that reflect the change in the drainage basin of the Cauca river. The above-stated allowed assessing, spatially and temporarily, large areas affected by human activity. The basin has increased anthropogenic impact on sectors where urban and industrial settlements are located, so it is important to count on land use planning in this area to reduce levels of anthropogenic impact.
Keywords : urban settlements; watershed; spatial data; human impact; index and environmental indicators; Cauca river.
