Abstract

DE CASTRO, Alberto; GARCIA, Guillermo  and  ELJAGH, Samir. Experiential process: comprehending human beings in first per. Psicol. caribe [online]. 2012, vol.29, n.2, pp.385-420. ISSN 0123-417X.

This article is a theoretical reflection about the psychological foundation implied in the experiential process of human beings. This article emphasizes the need of understanding the psychological position that human beings develop in daily life from the intentions, values, and meanings that they try to affirm or preserve when they relate to any situation or determinism. Based on the theoretical work of contemporary authors, conclusions based on the clinical experience, and the findings of several hermeneutical phenomenological researches, we conclude that the human experiential process implies and is characterized by the interaction and integration between the concepts of wish, will, meaning, valuing, consciousness, and intentionality.

Keywords : experience; existential humanistic psychology; wish; will; meaning; intentionality.
