A way to approach the processing logic that led to the designs shown on the glasses or dishes of the Quillacingas or Pastos cultures of Colombia is proposed. Approaching the logic of the development of tools of pre-Hispanic cultures from a methodological process point of view that provides archaeological evidence, can contribute to a better understanding of their geometric and metric thoughts, in general mathematics. At first, a historical description of these cultures is made, than a classification according to the typology of the design, which will demonstrate various techniques for the geometric and artistic development in this activity, and finally a general reference to the pedagogical potential of these designs shown in the dishes is made.
