Abstract

VERGEL TOVAR, Carolina. The concept of gender justice: theories and practice. Rev. Derecho Privado [online]. 2011, n.21, pp.119-146. ISSN 0123-4366.

This article proposes a preliminary exploration about the concept of gender justice. Based on the analysis of some practices and discourses of this notion, the text proposes an approach to identify the institutional, academic and theoretical contexts, which influenced the ways like the concept is understood and used. Besides trying to identify some of the factors that explain the ambiguity of the concept, the article proposes a series of questions for a more detailed study of this concept and the conditions for its understanding and usefulness, especially in socio-legal studies.

Keywords : Gender; justice; feminism; legal theory; legal education.
