Abstract

BIDAUD, Samuel. The Third-Person Pronouns in French and Italian. Folios [online]. 2015, n.41, pp.131-142. ISSN 0123-4870.

We study in this article the French and Italian third-person pronouns from a psychomecanical point of view. To begin with, we will see that the third-person pronouns can be semiologically identical to determiners and that they come after these ones in the ideogenesis, then we will situate the third-person pronouns in relation to the first and second-person pronouns, and we will see that the third-person pronouns can belong to the nominal or to the verbal plan. We will study afterwards more precisely the third-person pronouns in French and Italian, and we will observe specifically the French pronoun y and the Italian pronoun ci in a last part.

Keywords : Third-Person Pronouns; French Language; Italian Language; Psychomecanics of Language.
