Abstract

PARRA ORDONEZ DE V, Stephanny. Mediatized Sexualities: State of the Art, Young, Education and Digital Media. Folios [online]. 2020, n.51, pp.129-149.  Epub July 07, 2020. ISSN 0123-4870.  https://doi.org/10.17227/folios.51-10905.

This document gives a view of an inquiry about the panorama of studies on youth, sex education and digital media, during the last two decades. As a state of the art, we sought to identify the main trends, problematizations and methodological routes in the field of inquiry that links young people with education for sexuality and digital media. The review was conducted from one hundred nine research articles carried out in fourteen countries, giving priority to the studies identified in Colombia. These studies were grouped into three categories developed throughout the document: 1) Intersections between education for sexuality, youth and digital media 2) Education for sexuality: between the biologist vision, manuals and sex education policies 3) Young people, sexualities and digital media. Finally, as conclusions, the reiterations identified in both theoretical and methodological sources are exposed, as well as some reflections on the absences and new openings that this field of study proposes.

Keywords : education for sexuality; digital media; young; sexualities; gender.
