This article reports the results of an investigation that aims to present both a general and an illustrative panorama of the Colombianisms included in the latest edition of the Diccionario de la Lengua Española, based on lexicographic marks' analysis, particularly grammatical, diatopic and pragmatic. Despite the complexity of the concept of "Colombianism" and the debates still under discussion about the role of institutions as the Real Academia Española, it has been decided to start with the twenty-third edition of the Diccionario de la Lengua Española, which is known to be a descriptive and a prescriptive dictionary par excellence of the Hispanic field, since it is considered that this is a socially validated lexicographic repertoire, which allows its use as a source to delimit the study's lexical sample. Among the main findings, it is observed that the set of entries extracted from the latest edition of the academic Diccionario is a catalog that collects the Spanish lexical units' description spoken in Colombia, according to various selection criteria (linguistic, social, ideological), which reflect not only the state of a variety of a language, but also of culture.
