Interest rate can be expressed in different forms. In this paper, the concept of equivalence in the time money value theory is applied to develop the relationships between the different forms of expressing interest rates, including anticipated interest rates. A visual procedure is included to follow the appropiate set of convertion formulas. There is not a standard mode to denote each form of interest rate. The treatment in the paper is based on the classical system to denote forms of interest rates, but the equivalence with an alternative system, the commercial forms, is showed additionally.
